Day 1

KOCHI-MYSORE

  • After some quick instructions we hit the road and start driving towards Mysore. Lunch on the way and continue travel to Mysore, the city of palaces, famed for silk sarees and sandalwood. Mysore is the third most populated city in the state of Karnataka, drawing millions of tourists throughout the year. Evening we arrive at Mysore. Free time to explore the beautiful city at night. Dinner and overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 2

MYSORE-SRIGANGAPATNA-CHITHRADURGA

  • Mysore is eminent as the cultural capital of Karnataka. Next interesting fact about the place is that it is the second largest city in the state of Karnataka and a perfect weekend destination. After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Shravanabelagola to visit the Gommateshwara Bahubali statue.We pass through Hassan district, located in the south-western part of Karnataka in India. The district has had an eventful and rich history. The district, noted for its enchanting natural scenic beauty is also a veritable treasure-house of Hoysala architecture and sculpture which is studded with Jain monuments, is a renowned center of pilgrimage for the Jains. Arrive at Shravanabelagola, one of the most important pilgrim destinations of Jains. Here we visit 57-foot, the high monolithic statue of Bahubali carved out of a single block of granite located at Vindyagiri, Shravanbelagola. The Bahubali statue was built around 983 B.C and is one of the largest free-standing statues in the world. One can have a beautiful view of the surrounding areas from the top of the hill. This statue is popular by It is so tall that it can be seen from 30 km away. It symbolizes Peace, Non-violence, sacrifice worldly affairs, and simple living as followed by Jainism. An event attracts devotees from all over the world for the Mahamastakabhisheka festival is held once in 12 years, when the this Gommateshwara statue is anointed with milk, saffron, ghee, sugarcane juice…etc. from the top of the statue. In 2007, the statue was voted as the first of Seven Wonders of India. Chandragupta Maurya is said to have died here in 298 B C after he became a Jain monk and assumed an ascetic life style. Day 3

CHITHRADURGA -HAMPI

  • After breakfast early check out from hotel and proceed to Hampi. Hampi was the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th century. Chronicles left by Persian and European travelers, particularly the Portuguese, say that Hampi was a prosperous, wealthy and grand city near the Tungabhadra River, with numerous temples, farms and trading markets. By 1500 B C, Hampi-Vijayanagara was the world's second-largest medieval-era city after Beijing, and probably India's richest at that time, attracting traders from Persia and Portugal. The Vijayanagara Empire was defeated by a coalition of Muslim sultanates; its capital was conquered, pillaged and destroyed by sultanate armies in 1565, after which Hampi remained in ruins. Day 4

HAMPI-BIJAPUR

  • After breakfast check out hotel and visit Bijapur officially known as Vijaya Pura. Vijaya Pura is well known for its historical monuments of architectural importance built during the rule of the Adil Shahi dynasty. The Adil Shahis encouraged building activity to such an extent that the city itself has over 50 mosques, more than 20 tombs and a number of palaces. Here we visit Jumma Masjid, Mithari & Asar Mahals built by Mohammed Adil Shah of the Adil Shahi Dynasty as in as a Hall of Justice. The one large building still retains evidence of its former grandeur with its massive unique arches supported by four columns. Women are not allowed in the mosque. Overnight stay in Bijapur.

Day 5

BIJAPUR-AURANGABAD

  • After breakfast visit Gol Gumbaz. Gol Gumbaz is the tomb of king Muhammad Adil Shah, Adil Shah Dynasty. Construction of the tomb was started in 1626 and completed in 1656. The name is based on Gola gummata derived from Gol Gombadh meaning "circular dome". After sightseeing we continue our journey to Aurangabad overnight stay in Aurangabad

Day 6

AJANTHA CAVE AND ELLORA CAVE

  • After breakfast at hotel full-day tour of Ajanta and Ellora Caves. You will transfer to explore the mesmerizing heritage sites of the Ajanta and Ellora Caves (Subject to the availability). See the amazing carvings and painting on the walls of the caves and they are universally regarded as masterpieces of Buddhist religious art. Ajanta Caves are approximately 30 rock cut Buddhist cave monuments which date from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 CE and is one of the major tourist attractions in Maharashtra. The Ajanta Caves are mentioned in the memories of several medieval-era Chinese Buddhist travelers to India and they were covered by jungle until accidentally "discovered" and brought to Western attention in 1819 by a colonial British officer Captain John Smith on a tiger-hunting party.
  • After lunch we proceed to Ellora Caves (35 km-1hrs) a whiff of the antiquated mystery sits heavy in the air on the 2 km long stretch of what must have been an arduous task of carving these magnificent caves out of rocks. One of the largest ancient rock-cut cave temples in the world, Ellora Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ellora cave is situated around 30 km away from Aurangabad. The Kailash Temple of the Ellora caves is the major attraction among the tourists and work of art of the architect. The temple is one of the largest and massive sculptures of the world. Day 7

AURANGABAD-NASHIK-ANKLESHWAR

  • After breakfast check out from hotel and we pass through Nashik. Nashik is an ancient city and the largest city in the northern region of the Indian state of Maharashtra. Situated on the banks of river Godavari, Nashik is the fourth largest city in Maharashtra, after Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur. The city is called the "Wine Capital of India" as half of India's vineyards and wineries are located here. Nashik lies on the western edge of the Deccan Plateau which is an ancient volcanic formation. Nashik is well known for being one of the Hindu pilgrimage sites of the Kumbh Mela, which is held every 12 years. Lunch on the way and later we proceed to Ankleshwar. Ankleshwar is an Industrial city in Gujarat and is located fourteen kilometers from Bharuch. On arrival at Ankleshwar you will proceed to hotel. Free time for leisure at hotel. Day 8

ANKLESHWAR-STATUE OF UNITY-UDAIPUR

  • After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Narmada and visit the statue of unity, the colossal statue of Indian statesman and independence activist Vallabhbhai Patel, who was the first deputy prime minister and home minister of independent India. The Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue at 182 meters. It rises 54 meters higher than the previous record holder, the Spring Temple Buddha in China's Henan province. The statue was designed by Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar and constructed by L&T with a total construction cost of ₹2,989 crore, and was inaugurated by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. The Statue of Unity stands on Sadhu Island on the Narmada, 3.2 km downstream of Sardar Sarovar Dam, the second largest concrete gravity dam by volume in the world. UDAIPUR-AJMER

  • After breakfast at hotel, you visit Udaipur city. Udaipur, formerly the capital of the Mewar Kingdom, is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559, and is known for its lavish royal residences. Udaipur has a lot of different titles and names associated with it including being called the City of Lakes, The Kashmir of Rajasthan, and of course, The White City of Rajasthan. Udaipur is surrounded by different lakes such as Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake and so on - hence, giving it the popular title of The City of Lakes. The Rajput kings-built palaces made of marble here visit City Palace built in the middle of the city. Then visit jagdish temple, the Hindu temple located in the City Palace complex and this is one of the famous temples of Udaipur and among the top Udaipur attractions.
  • After lunch we proceed to Ajmer, one of the major and oldest cities in Rajasthan. Dargah Sharif is one of the major attractions of Ajmer and is the "Mecca of Rajasthan". AJMER- SAMBHAR LAKE - JAIPUR

  • After breakfast check out from hotel proceed to Sambhar Lake. Sambhar Lake is India’s largest inland salt water lake spread over 1500 hectares and producing a mind-blowing 196000 tons of salts each year. The industry is operated by the state and Hindustan Salts Ltd. Sambhar is famous for its Salt Lake and wildlife sanctuary. Sambhar Lake can only be felt when you are there. Tens and thousands of Flamingoes are migrating to sambhar lake every year from central Asia and Siberia. The Sambhar Salt Lake is the biggest inland Salt Lake in India and even mentioned in the legendary epic, ‘Mahabharata’. This wildlife sanctuary is ideal for sighting avian species and is a bird paradise.
  • Sambhar Lake is a very popular site for film making, A plethora of movie scenes and music videos have been shot here. Some notable films having sambhar lakes shots are Jodha Akbar, Delhi 6, Veer…etc. The famous scenes of Aamir Khan’s landing on earth in film PK is also shot at Sambhar Lake. After lunch we start our journey to Jaipur. Jaipur is a magical city bursting with life, history, and awe-inspiring architecture and on the way, we visit Amber or Amer Fort. Amer Fort was the ancient capital of the Kachhawaha Rajputs. The town of Amer and the Amber Fort were originally built by the Meenas, and later it was ruled by Raja Man Singh I. Located high on a hill, it is the principal tourist attraction in Jaipur and known for its artistic style elements. Mughal architecture greatly influenced by the architectural style of several buildings of the Amber Fort. Constructed of red sandstone and marble, the attractive, opulent palace is laid out on four levels, each with a courtyard. It consists of "Hall of Public Audience", "Hall of Private Audience", Jai Mandir, the Sukh Niwas where a cool climate is artificially created by winds that blow over a water cascade within the palace. The palace was the residence of the Rajput Maharajas and their families. Raja Man Singh had 12 queens so he made 12 rooms, one for each Queen. Each room had a staircase connected to the King’s room but the Queens were not allowed to go upstairs. Raja Jai Singh had only one queen so he built one room equal to three old queen’s rooms.
